Friends of the Elderly is a 100-year-old not-for-profit charity dedicated to helping older people in the UK live well in later life.

Through three care homes and a day care centre at Malvern, we deliver dedicated and personalised services to our residents and clients whether they attend our weekly day care activities or stay with us for longer residential stay or a short-term respite break.

With a person-focused approach to care, Davenham, Bradbury Court and Perrins House (collectively known as Friends of the Elderly Malvern) are picturesque care homes situated in beautiful grounds in Malvern.

Trained in care for people with dementia, as well as residential and nursing care, we have a dedicated, and compassionate team of staff, with long service, on hand to ensure that Malvern feels like home.

Meanwhile, Malvern Day Care is managed by a dedicated and experienced care team who are trained in supporting older people with a range of age related conditions, including short-term memory loss and dementia.

In our Malvern care homes, we create personalised care plans for each of our residents, meaning an individual 24-hour care package is tailored to specific needs.

You may move between Davenham, Bradbury Court and Perrins House as your needs may change so that you can be in the home that keeps you as independent as possible while meeting your needs. This avoids the need for you to find a new home while also offering consistency.

The rooms in our 3 care homes have en-suite facilities, and views overlooking the beautiful gardens and Malvern Hills. With bright and airy lounges, spacious dining rooms and a sunroom, alongside an extensive library, sensory garden, and an onsite galleried chapel.

What to expect in our Malvern day care?

Open 9:30am to 3:30pm Monday-Friday (excluding Bank Holidays), our day care centre provides a safe and secure environment designed to feel like home. You and your family can enjoy complete peace of mind knowing your care is in expert hands.

You can choose to come along for as many days as they would like. We can also help to arrange transport if it’s needed.

Day care provides interactive activities, gentle exercises, quizzes, sing-alongs, arts and crafts, gardening, baking and ‘Oomph’ on demand.

At Friends of the Elderly…

All our care homes use technology such as electronic care planning and acoustic listening to keep our residents safe.

We run a Dementia Education Programme in partnership with Worcester University, to ensure our staff know how to best support our residents living with dementia.

We provide regular training around Infection Prevention Control, and we are Covid Wise.

We are proud that many of our staff have worked with us for over 10 to 20 years, allowing us to provide consistent care teams to best support our residents and clients.
