Malvern Day Care in Worcestershire offers person-centred day care for people living with dementia. Here you can meet new friends and take part in activities you enjoy, with help and support available from our dedicated and experienced care staff. Our team is trained in supporting older people with a range of age related conditions, including short-term memory loss and dementia, and are always happy to help with any issues or concerns you may have.
We are open Monday-Friday from 9:30 am to 3:30 pm. You can choose to come along for a couple of hours up to a full day or several days a week.
We will work to ensure that you are supported to stay connected to your local community and are able to enjoy everyday life.
While you are with us you can enjoy a light breakfast, lunch and afternoon tea – where we ensure a balanced and nutritious diet is maintained.
Day care Malvern is located off Graham Road and just 1 mile away from Great Malvern railway station.
What can you expect?
Everyone who attends our services are welcomed to the daily activities built around individual preferences These can range from helping out in the garden ,planning outings, baking treats for everyone to enjoy or simply quietly reading a book of your choice.
You have the option how you will spend the day with us, with a wide range of activities available, which our team can plan around your hobbies and interest.
Our typical activities include:
- Reminiscence and stimulating cognitive activities
- Gentle exercise
- Quizzes and sing-alongs
- Arts and crafts
- Gardening
- Baking
Our facilities include
- A small cosy lounge with a fireplace
- An interactive kitchen with a range of appliances, just like home, which you can use
- A dining area that seats a maximum of 12 people – maintaining a family home feeling
- A walled garden area, with lawn and decking that wraps around the building
- The garden is furnished with table and chairs for those who enjoy sitting, eating or drinking outside during the warmer months.
