1) Friends of the Elderly care homes are now able to subsidise a limited number of Local Authority funded residents who meet the following criteria:
Nurses, retired nurses, other people serving or who have served in the National Health Service in a paid or voluntary capacity and other health or social care workers who are in need by reason of age, infirmity or financial hardship.

2) Friends of the Elderly currently gives priority on admission, should competition for admission arise, to anyone who meets the following criteria:
