‘Outstanding’ CQC inspection result for our Luton care home

Little Bramingham Farm care home in Luton, Bedfordshire has been recognised with an ‘Outstanding’ Care Quality Commission (CQC) report. It is the highest rating that a care home can receive, after the inspection found that residents “received exceptionally personalised care and support which met their needs”.

The team at Little Bramingham Farm care home are delighted with the glowing report. It is a testiment to the dedication and passion for the care they provide to residents at the home.

The report also highlights how staff make sure to provide activities and events that both residents and the local community can take part in.

It states: “Staff had worked extremely hard to make sure people took part in a variety of activities they enjoyed. Community involvement was something the service did exceptionally well, with a range of events planned which relatives and members of the public attended.”

The Care Quality Commission is the independent regulator of health and social care in England. It regularly inspects care homes to ensure levels of care are being met. CQC inspect on whether the home is safe, effective, caring, responsive and well-led.

The inspectors spend time within the home speaking with staff, residents and relatives and ensure all processes and procedures are being adhered to. One relative told CQC: “You can use this as an example of how a home should be run. We would recommend this to anyone.”

Set on the outskirts of Luton, Bedfordshire, Little Bramingham Farm offers specialised residential, respite and dementia care. The home is an oasis of calm in an urban environment. It is sat within attractive grounds that have been developed over the years by residents and the dedicated staff team.
