Across our care homes and services, residents had a wonderful time enjoying a mixture of fun activities and celebrations last month. Here are our 2023 November highlights:

In recognition of this month’s National Spa Week, at our Bournemouth residential and dementia care home, RNNH, Lynda Tilsed has been talking about her love of bringing happiness, interactions and relaxation to the residents with her weekly hairdressing sessions.

“For some people it has become heat or eat and I would have been the same without your help.” Grant recipient, Josie, 71.

When winter takes hold and heating bills soar, your support offers comfort and hope to vulnerable older people like Josie, who have nowhere else to turn.

Many of the older people we support are lonely or live alone. The cost-of-living crisis has made an already difficult situation feel desperate. Some older people cannot even afford a warm coat or a duvet for the winter.

2023 November Highlights - LBF chef making the pie.Luton care home residents have im’peck’able taste for pie

At Little Bramingham Farm care home in Luton, residents have been ‘tweet’ed to a historical and gastronomical delight.

Regional Director, James Batchelor and Care Home Chef, Jim Wright took a ‘Gander’ at a scrumptious Game Pie recipe and decided it would be a tasty treat for the residents to enjoy now the autumn days are here.

When resident Pauline shared her desire to go to the theatre, the team at RNNH care home delighted her and best friend and fellow resident Barbara with tickets to watch Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat at Bournemouth Pavilion Theatre.
