2022 March highlights from our care homes

Across our care homes and services, residents had a wonderful time enjoying a mixture of fun activities and celebrations last month. Here are our March highlights:

March highlights: RNNH care home residents knitting blankets Bournemouth Knit and Natter group knit for Ukraine

The Knit and Natter group is a popular activity and social session that residents love to take part in at RNNH care home.

This month the group used their knitting skills to create blankets which they donated to a collection point to be sent to Ukraine.

The team at Bernard Sunley care home wanted to make sure residents enjoyed an extra special Mother’s Day.

They were surprised with heart-warming gifts, flowers and handmade cards, followed by a delicious lunch.

Exciting news! Residents from Redcot, Little Bramingham Farm, Bernard Sunley and The Lawn care home featured in an issue of My Weekly, sharing their stories and giving advice on how to live to 100.

Luton residents welcome the sunshine

With the first signs of sunshine breaking through, residents from Little Bramingham Farm care home embraced the warmer weather with fun activities.

They enjoyed delicious ice creams and the popular Gardening Club was able to tend to the gardens outside for the first time this year.

Older people cuddling on a sofa£16,078 has been raised through our Winter Appeal

Together with the Edward Gostling Foundation’s match-fund partnership, these donations amount to £32,156.

Your support has allowed us to help people like Vera and Henry* who are in their 60s and were struggling with a broken boiler through the tough winter months:

“We had exhausted all other avenues. You were our last hope. We both feel relieved to have a boiler that works.”
