We are delighted to congratulate our former Chair of the Board of Trustees, Kerry Rubie, on being awarded an MBE for Services to Innovation, Leadership and Governance in Adult Social Care in this year’s New Years Honours List.
Kerry, who is now one of our Patrons, has worked on Friends of the Elderly’s Board of Trustees for twenty-five years. The Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) recognises the achievements and services of extraordinary people across the UK and Kerry was awarded his for his outstanding service to adult social care which has an ongoing long-term and significant impact.
Kerry said: “I am honoured to receive an MBE for Services to Innovation, Leadership and Governance in Adult Social Care. It has been a great privilege to work with Friends of the Elderly for the last twenty-five years and I am so proud of the work the charity has done to improve the lives of older people.”
