Happy Birthday Tina! A resident at our Coulsdon care home recently celebrated her landmark 100th birthday, complete with cake, presents and her centenary card from the Queen.
Tina Osborn has been a resident of Orford House care home for seven years. For the special event, staff arranged for a beautiful cake and decorated her room, much to Tina’s joy.
Born on 29th November 1919, Tina was overjoyed with her very special centenary birthday card from the Queen and the birthday treats from the staff and her family.
Growing up in Sutton, Tina married Alfred Osborn who was from the same village. Alfred fought in WWII and together they had a daughter Angela, who joined in the birthday celebrations, along with her husband Doug and their son Craig.
Tina worked for British telecommunications and engineering company Marconi and has various hobbies. These include knitting, gardening and dancing. She is also a talented artist and even has her own artwork hanging in her room.
Tina’s daughter Angela commented: “I am so thankful to the staff for making my mum’s day extra special and all the effort that they went to decorate her room with bunting and a beautiful birthday cake. Orford House really feels like an extended part of our family.”
