New Copford Place care home in Essex invited the local community to attend a Christmas Bazaar on Saturday 8 December.
The event, which was attended by residents, their family and friends and those who live nearby, raised an incredible £1,000 for the care home.
Santa’s grotto was the centrepiece of the Christmas Bazaar, with local children getting the chance to meet Father Christmas. The event also included games, raffles, refreshments and live entertainment.
Donna Owen, Manager of New Copford Place, said: “Our residents had such a good time and enjoyed having members of the local community join the festive fun. The money raised will be used towards a polytunnel at the home, as we have a lot of keen gardeners who will really benefit. Thank you to everyone who attended. The whole event made our residents’ Christmas that extra bit special.”
