I have worked for Friends of the Elderly for over 17 years and accepted the position of Manager at The Lawn in 2002.
I decided to join Friends of the Elderly as my father lived in one of the homes and I was so impressed by the care and support he received. I believe that working with older people is a vocation rather than a job. It is so rewarding and every day is different.
The Lawn is such a beautiful home in a lovely location but what really makes us different is the staff and care we offer. For me it is vital that we listen to our residents and provide the family home they want.
My hobbies involve horses; I have always enjoyed riding and being around them. When I retire I think I would like to continue to work with charities that focus on older people or children.
