I have over 20 years’ experience working with older people and became manager of Sir Thomas Lipton seven years ago.
I started working with children in playgroups and was a team leader at the Barnet Sensory Unit. When I moved into residential care I knew it was where I wanted to stay.
I am fortunate to work in a home where 24 individual females have chosen to live. This offers me the opportunity to learn and develop through listening and respecting their past experiences. Our residents still continue to have a thirst for all the new technology and are an inspiration to us all.
Sir Thomas Lipton is an informal home, I am open and honest with my staff and we all learn together.
I love to travel, I recently visited New Zealand. In the future I hope to take on a challenge such as walking The Great Wall of China to raise funds for Friends of the Elderly. My spare time is spent meditating, gardening and spending time with my family.
