David Cameron promises to Be a Friend

Prime Minister David Cameron today hosted a tea party for the Friends of the Elderly and Magic Breakfast charities.
 
The Prime Minister was joined in Downing Street by staff and supporters from the charities, Friends of the Elderly clients and the breakfast club of St John’s Church of England Primary school in Bethnal Green. The reception celebrated the end of an 18 month partnership with Magic Breakfast and Friends of the Elderly which has seen Downing Street volunteers taking part in volunteering activity across London.
 
Friends of the Elderly encourages everyone to help end loneliness by ‘being a friend’ and getting to know each other within their communities.
 
Magic Breakfast  are dedicated to ensuring every child starts their school day with the right breakfast as fuel for learning.
