Karen and Stephen Carrick from Luton are hosting two pub quiz nights over the August bank holiday weekend to raise money for Little Bramingham Farm care home in Luton.
When: Friday 25 August at 8pm and Sunday 27 August at 7pm
Teams of up to six people are invited to take part in these general knowledge quizzes at the Bramingham Pub. Entry will be charged at £5 per team, with all proceeds being donated to Friends of the Elderly’s Little Bramingham Farm care home. There’s no need to book, just turn up on the night with team mates ready for a night of fun, laughter and quizzing. There will also be a raffle with a chance to win prizes such as vouchers for local businesses and wine.
The Carricks have been inspired to host these quiz nights after being overwhelmed by the care and support given to Stephen’s grandmother, Violet who has just turned 97, since she moved to Little Bramingham Farm back in June. Karen commented: “Everyone is just so fantastic at the home. Both staff and residents seem so happy to be there. Nothing is too much trouble, which has really helped Nanna to settle in so quickly. We love quizzes and running events like this, so we really wanted to do something to raise money for the home.”
Emma Lawrance, Manager of Little Bramingham Farm, added: “It’s so fantastic when relatives of residents have such a good impression of our home that they want fundraise for us. We are so grateful to Karen and Stephen for working hard to host these two fantastic quiz nights. We even hope to take a couple of the residents along to get involved and to engage with the local community.”
