On Saturday, 17 June, staff and volunteers hosted a family fun day at our award-winning care home in Luton, Little Bramingham Farm.
Over 550 guests enjoyed live music, a BBQ and bubbles, a vintage tea room and a bouncy castle. Other attractions included candy floss and popcorn, face painting and a variety of stalls. Importantly, there were also opportunities to find out about volunteering or working with Friends of the Elderly.
This special event helped us mark our ongoing support for Care Home Open Day, an annual initiative which sees thousands of care homes across the country open their doors to the public to showcase the excellent services being provided by dedicated teams of staff.
Emma Lawrance, Home Manager at Little Bramingham Farm said: “We are proud of what we do and our residents enjoy opening their home to the community.”
In April 2017, Little Bramingham Farm was chosen by residents and their families as one of the Top 20 care homes in the East of England, and received an award from the leading reviews guide to care homes, carehome.co.uk. The award was based on reviews of the care home written by their residents, plus their friends and relatives. Little Bramingham Farm’s dedicated team offer friendly, individualised care for older people, providing them with a full range of activities and outings tailored to their likes and interests, whilst placing their family and loved ones at the centre of their care.
