The Mid-Week Club at Geraldine Court, Malvern

Running since 2000, Friends of the Elderly Mid-Week Club at Geraldine Court offers person-centred care and support to vulnerable or isolated people aged over 60, who live within the Malvern Hills area.

The Club caters for up to 18 people a day from 10.00am to 4.00pm on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. A Friends of the Elderly owned minibus provides transport for those who need it.

Members of Geralding Court Day Club enjoying gardening“I am grateful for all the loving care that your team in the Day Club show, making it possible for me to stay living in my own home. Just getting out of the house and meeting up with others is a joy.”

The Club offers a wide range activities, including entertainment throughout the year and interactive events such as bingo, quizzes, exercise and reminiscence activities. Morning coffee, lunch with a choice of menu, and afternoon tea are provided. We work closely with many local, statutory and voluntary organisations. Ongoing support by the staff for each older person is available when required.

The club is jointly funded by Friends of the Elderly and Worcestershire County Council.

Club Member Criteria - Members are referred by Malvern Social Services.
