Davenham, Malvern - Residential care home
Davenham in Malvern, a commanding, stone-built Victorian house, was previously the home of the Perrins family, whose name is inextricably linked to the famous Worcestershire sauce. Now converted to an inviting residential home for older people, it retains the character of a fine period house, with many of the original frescoes, paintings and decorations preserved.
Located at the foot of the Malvern Hills with the Cotswolds and Bredon Hills in the distance, Davenham is registered for 37 residents and the home’s rooms overlook the fine extensive grounds, which feature many rare imported and exotic trees and shrubs. In warmer weather, the garden is a popular area for walks or for sitting on the shaded veranda.
Davenham has a very active local volunteer support group, which organises concerts, functions, history and art talks, tea parties and visits which all help new residents feel welcome. In the same grounds is the lovely Perrins House, which offers nursing facilities to those who need them.

Activities and interests
Davenham has a beautiful drawing room, an oak panelled library with a blazing log fire as well as a galleried chapel where many music recitals are held. It also features a beauty room where local hairdressers, manicurists and chiropodists visit regularly. Our Activities Organisers encourage residents to become involved in the many social activities on offer; exercise classes, games, quizzes and crafts. Fortnightly services are held in the chapel, conducted by local clergy, to which all residents are warmly invited.
Excellent staff care
Our professional staff all attend regular training to ensure that they provide an excellent standard of care. Staff assist with bathing, dressing and all the activities of daily life, as required. A call system operates in all rooms and communal areas, giving residents peace of mind that they can summon help at any time, day or night. Routine medical services are provided by a local GP, who also provides emergency cover.
