Friends of the Elderly has run the home since 2015. We provide personalised and compassionate care and offer a fantastic programme of activities so that you can enjoy a full and stimulating time with us.
The home is undergoing substantial reinvestment this year, which will result in a refurbished dining room, as well as an extension of the dining room to include a sun room for coffee mornings, and the installation of a brand new wet room.
We have 40 rooms with ensuite facilities, and all have a television point and phone socket. We will help you to personalise your room with furniture ornaments and photographs so you feel at home with us.
Support for you
Because of the high priority we place on your individuality, we will create a detailed care plan for you and keep it regularly updated.
We are experienced in caring for older people so you can be confident that you will be looked after by caring, knowledgeable staff, 24 hours a day.
All meals are freshly prepared and you can choose from varied, nutritious menus. Our staff will take the time to understand your individual food preferences and healthy snacks are always available.
In addition to the support provided by GPs, nurses and chiropodists, local professionals offer a range of services so that you can indulge yourself. Choose from hairdressers/barbers or beauticians, according to individual preferences.
Our Activities Coordinator creates a varied programme which includes film nights, quizzes in our beautiful sunny activities room and local outings. To make sure you can stay connected we provide a communal computer and help is always on hand if you need it.
Your spiritual needs
We offer a holistic approach to the care we provide and arrange for ministers of all faiths to pay regular visits and make use of our own beautiful chapel.
Fees are based on an assessment of your care needs. Please ask the manager for more details or a personal quote.
